BUILDING REGULATIONS

Compliance with building regulations is crucial for the success of any construction project. At TR Architectural Services, we ensure that all our designs meet current UK building regulations.

These regulations cover various aspects of construction, including structural integrity, fire safety, energy efficiency, accessibility, and ventilation

Our process for ensuring compliance

  • Thorough Design Checks: Our team conducts detailed checks on all design aspects to ensure they comply with the latest building regulations. This involves reviewing structural elements, materials, and construction methods to guarantee safety and durability.

  • Collaboration with Building Control Bodies: We work closely with building control bodies to ensure that our designs meet all necessary standards. This collaboration includes submitting detailed plans for review, addressing any queries or concerns raised by building control officers, and making necessary adjustments to our designs.

  • Detailed Drawings and Documentation: Using the final client-approved designs, we create comprehensive and detailed drawings that clearly illustrate every aspect of the construction project. These drawings include specifications for materials, structural details, and other critical information required for building control approval.

  • Submission to Building Control: We submit an application on your behalf along with our detailed drawings to the local building control for notification or approval, depending on which is necessary.

  • Ongoing Liaison and Support: Throughout the review process, we maintain ongoing communication with building control to address any issues promptly. This proactive approach helps prevent delays and ensures that any necessary modifications are made efficiently.

  • On-Site Inspections (Design & Build only): Once construction begins, we continue to collaborate with building control officers who conduct on-site inspections at various stages of the project. These inspections verify that the construction work adheres to the approved plans and complies with all building regulations.

  • Final Approval and Certification: After the completion of the project, a final inspection is conducted to ensure full compliance with building regulations. Upon successful inspection, a completion certificate is issued from building control confirming that the building meets all required standards.
